Who are the stakeholders within a research environment and what do they wish to know? Who funds research and why?And as a consequence what sort of strategies should we be developing with respect to some of the major issues that confront us? These include the following:

effectiveness,

professional development (best practice and continual re-skilling).

These issues will be examined along with the models that patients, doctors and research funders utilise to create evidence.
